Honors Course Petition Form

John Wesley Scholars are given first priority in registration for honors courses. However, students possessing a GPA of at least 3.5 may petition to enroll in any honors course section, with the exception of the following: HNR 100 and HNR 350.

Students must possess the required GPA at the time of petition (first semester freshmen may petition if they had a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.8 or ranked in the top 10% of their graduating class). Petition forms are available on-line and may either be submitted electronically or downloaded and submitted to the Honors Collegeoffice in Goodman Hall (ext. 1441). Petitioners must also ask an IWU professor to submit a letter of support to jwhc.admissions@indwes.edu.

Petitions will be reviewed by the Honors College Faculty Committee and, for those petitions submitted in a timely manner, notification of a decision will be made by the final week of registration.
